Banafsheh Erfanian

Banafsheh is a painter and illustrator based in Toronto, Ontario

Banafsheh was born in Tehran, Iran. She graduated from Tehran University of Art with a bachelor in Graphic design and a master’s in Illustration. Banafsheh has illustrated More than 20 books and magazines and written more than 25 articles in art reviews.

Banafsheh has exhibited her works of art in Iran, Italy, US, Canada, Moscow, Japan, and Belgrade. She has won international prizes such as the 1st prize of The Second Festival of Text Books Illustration, Iran, The encouragement prize of the 15th Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustration, Japan. She has been teaching painting and illustration in Iran and Canada since 2006.

Banafsheh is currently teaching at Bita Art Studio and is illustrating "The Caterpillar in The Vase" by Sean Hakim and also "Valentine's Day" by Leila Naseri.
